Shozo Suzuki is undoubtedly the most renowned rose breeder in Japan. Famous for his
love of roses, Suzuki would advise people to greet their roses first thing in the
morning saying "Good morning, how are you today?".
He is also a cultivator of new species in various rosaria, and has introduced many
with shapely flowers, new colors and disease-resistant qualities. In addition, he
was also highly interested in rose fragrances.
Houjune, born in 1981, is a hybrid of Granada and Kronenburg. It is a rose of soft
salmon pink that has an exquisite fragrance, and is highly recommended by Mr. Suzuki
himself.
