The Shiseido Group, including affiliates, employs approximately 25,200 people around the globe. Out of the 8,500 persons employed by Shiseido overseas, less than 2% are Japanese nationals demonstrating Shiseido's firm belief in and actualization of assimilation with the host country. Shiseido has 11 factories overseas as of June 2004. Three are in the Americas, 3 in France, and 5 in Asia/Oceania.
