英国生まれ。１９９７年より資生堂インウイのプロジェクトに参画し、２００７年には資生堂メーキャップのアーティスティック・ディレクターに就任。
Born in the U.K. Joined the Shiseido INOUI project in 1997, and named Shiseido Makeup Artistic Director in 2007.
インスピレーションは様々なところから。日常生活の中のふとした瞬間、また旅先での異なる文化や食事、名所めぐりなど、場所、空間から強力な影響を受ける時があるけれど、同時に僕は人から最高最大のインスピレーションを得ているよ。人の顔を見ることが一番、刺激を与えてくれる。また写真をたくさん撮る。そこから絵を描いて⾊を創ることが多いんだ。
I receive inspiration from many things. Sometimes I’m deeply influenced by moments during an everyday experience or places and spaces such as during a trip when I’m exposed to different cultures, food and places of interest. My greatest inspiration comes from people. I especially find it stimulating to look at people’s faces. I also take lots of photographs. I often draw pictures using the images in the photos and use these to create color.

様々な場所、旅行、アート、古い映画などから得ているわ。一番影響を受けるのは、もちろん自然。花々の色と質感が大好きなの。バラが咲き乱れる私のロンドンの自宅のイングリッシュ・ガーデンは大きなインスピレーションの源です。
I take my inspiration from places, trips, art and old films. My greatest inspiration of course comes from nature. I love the colors and feel of flowers. My English garden at home in London filled with blooming roses is a huge source of inspiration for me.

ありとあらゆるものからインスピレーションを得ているよ。美しいものすべてから。自然、音楽、ファッション、本、映画。映画の黎明期から1970年代にかけての古いハリウッドやヨーロッパの映画が大好き。イタリア映画、アメリカ映画、フランス映画。そして街の中からも。旅も好き。カラーのクリエーションをしていると、多くのものから感銘を受けるよ。アートに関する本も好き。それと、画家たち！ピカソ、マティス。それから、オペラも…ヴェルディ、プッチーニ。
I take inspiration from anything and everything. Everything that has beauty is a source of inspiration for me—nature, music, fashion, books, films. I love old films from the early stages to the 1970s—Italian films, American films, French films. I also take inspiration from the city and I’m fond of traveling too. When you’re engaged in the work of creating color, many things leave an impression on you. Books about art are also one of my favorite things. I also love artists like Picasso and Matisse. Opera is also on my list, including Verdi and Puccini.
