『花椿』のファッションの特徴、二つ目は「クリエイション」です。この企画のように、板前や肉屋、消防士、お母さんなどが普段着用しているワークウエア（制服）をファッションのスタイリングに取り入れた特集など、日常を違った角度からとらえた視点はまさに『花椿』らしいものです。

Work Wear: Isn’t it Great to Enjoy Your Work

The second element of fashion featured in Hanatsubaki is “Creation”. As shown on these pages featuring the regular work wear (uniforms) of cooks, butchers, firemen, mothers and others as part of fashion styling, Hanatsubaki incorporates its unique sense of perception into looking at everyday life from a different angle.

「I ♥ 湯」 ユー♥ミー

『花椿』ゼロ年代の恒例企画、行列シリーズ。多数のモデルが東京などの街角に登場するという企画で、この回の舞台は現代美術家、大竹伸朗による直島銭湯「I♥湯」。コレクションの再現、とはまた一味違ったユニークなヴィジュアルクリエイションです。

“I ♥ Yu”, You ♥ Me

This procession series was done as part of Hanatsubaki’s new decade tradition. These shoots features a large number of models in Ginza and other cities, and this particular shoot was taken at Naoshima Sento “I ♥Yu” by a contemporary artist Shinro Otake. This is a unique visual that is slightly removed as a re-creation of the collection.

ヴェローナ、長靴の太腿あたり

1年に2、3回はダイナミックな海外ロケもありました。ロケ地はNYやパリ、ロンドンはもちろんのこと、ベトナムや香港などのアジア、そしてヨーロッパの小国の場合もありました。こちらは中世の趣き残るイタリアのヴェローナ地方で撮影したファッション特集。クラシックさとモダンさが入り混じるヴィジュアルです。

Verona,
Boots Around the Thigh

Two or three times a year, dynamic
shoots were held in overseas locations.
Locations included New York, Paris,
London, and also Asian destinations like Vietnam and Hong Kong, and sometimes small European countries. This special fashion feature was shot in Verona in Italy which retains vestiges of medieval times. This visual is an amazing mix of the classical and modern. Photo: Benoit Peverelli

カリーヌ・ロワトフェルドが
イリエを着せる。

ファッション誌を彩るファッション写真。その一枚の写真が作られるとき、カメラマンの世界観はとてもとても大事なものですが、それと同等に要となるのがスタイリストの感性です。そんなスタイリストが担う役割の重要性を伝えるための企画がこちら。スタイリストとブランドのコラボレーション企画です。第一回目は仏『ヴォーグ』誌の編集長をつとめたことで知られるカリーヌ・ロワトフェルド。入江末男が手がけるイリエをパリジェンヌ風にスタイリングしています。

Carine Roitfeld Wears Irie

The fashion photos grace the pages of the fashion magazine. The cameraman’s sense of perception is extremely important when taking each photograph, but just as important is the sensibility of the stylist. This project, which is a collaboration between the stylist and brand, conveys the important role played by the stylist. The first installment features Carine Roitfeld who served as editor of the French magazine Vogue. Sueo Irie uses his Irie line to dress Roitfeld up in Parisienne style.
